Jay Ottaway (Singer-Songwriter)

From 2005 to 2019 The Jay Ottaway Band toured throughout Europe. Besides Jay Ottaway the band was comprised of experienced musicians  from Germany. Bassist FRANK TETZNER whose virtuoso bass playing and organic vocal harmonies were a big part of the band's signature sound. HEINZ-BERND HÖVELMANN, on lead guitar, a road-tested veteran of the European rock and blues scene. TOM GERKE on drums who provided a solid rhythm foundation that locked down the house, so the rest of the band could roam freely, safely tethered. Saxophonist SHAWN SPICER who brought his deep knowledge of music theory and arrangement to the band adding new depth to its sound as well as  CHRIS TOWN and MARKUS GRIESS on piano and B3 organ who both brought a full range of colors to the band’s sound. The magic was recorded live both in 2014 with the "Jay Ottaway Band: Live in Europe" CD, as well as the 2017 "Jay Ottaway Band: Live in Bamberg" album, both released by Cactus Rock Records.
