With wildfires raging out West, COVID spreading like fire all over and politics going from dark to pitch black, “”Fresh Ride” is a prayer for salvation and a fresh start through a space-aged escape vehicle. From the soon to be released “World On Fire" album produced by Julian Müller (Blackberries, Suzan Köcher’s Suprafon), the song invokes an early angry Bob Dylan, a never mellowed Neil Young, while peeling the skin off of our dystopian lives.
Jay Ottaway is an award-winning singer-songwriter called by Germany’s Rockradio.de “one of the most innovative artists of our time.” He has been honored by American Songwriter Magazine, the USA Songwriting, International Songwriting, the U.K. Songwriting, and the Peacedriven Songwriting Contests, in addition to multiple awards from the Berklee College of Music where he studied songwriting.
